Structural design for expansion of current building from 47,000 sq feet to 83,745 sq ft.  Structure consists of moment resisting frame.  Total expansion cost of $18.7 million.

Preucil School of MusicThe new facility is a two-story, 30,000 square foot building containing six music studios, a large rehearsal hall and activity space.  The rehearsal/ performance hall is constructed of concrete masonry units designed to provide the appropriate accoustical atmosphere for Preucil’s performances.

Lone Tree School Addition

Lone Tree School Addition
Recently completed a 23,900 SF single story addition with provision for future vertical expansion.  Construction is load-bearing masonry walls with steel joists and precast plank roof construction on spread footings.

Iowa Avenue Apartments

Iowa Ave Apartments
This recently completed five-story building of mixed construction has basement level parking, street level commercial space and apartments on the top three floors.  The lowest two supported levels are of precast plank / steel beam construction.  The main floor bears on concrete columns and foundation walls.  The second floor bears on steel columns, and the upper floors are of wood construction.  The facility has an elevator serving all floors.

This is a two-story wood-framed structure with basement level parking.  There are 4500 square feet per floor.  The first supported level consists of I-joists bearing on steel beams supported by concrete columns.  There are five two-story townhouse type units with five bedrooms each.  The exterior is brick and stone.

JD OfficeThe medical offices and locker room were built inside existing buildings.  The roof of the medical offices was designed for offices for professional staff in the future.  The medical office mezzanine structure is of steel construction, while the locker room was wood framing bearing on masonry bearing walls and a center steel frame.  The unique entrance canopy is of steel framed construction with a sloping roof and glass walls.  The challenge with these structures was working within and around existing facilities.
